Interview on BBC Radio

Great news! I was interviewed on BBC Radio Norfolk by Stephen Bumfrey today. It was fantastic to get Admiral John ‘Jacky’ Fisher’s name out there and tell the audience about SEA LORD - the proposed film. Stephen was a brilliant interviewer and asked lots of interesting questions about what it feels like to have an ancestor like Jacky. We also discussed Jacky’s ties with Norfolk.

Talking about Jacky really got me thinking about how I felt when I discovered who Admiral John Fisher really was and the fascinating work and journey he went on in his life. And how lucky I am to have the historical family connection.

I find Jacky’s life story really inspiring and enlightening - that he was able to join the navy at the age of 13 and commit to that way of life for so many years. Also, to have the aspiration to rise to the top rank and become First Sea Lord of the British Navy in his later years.

Stephen was kind enough to invite me back again once I have got the film made - so listen out for another interview.
