Remembering Admiral Fisher - 100 years on

It is the centenary anniversary today, Friday 10th July 2020, where we commemorate the death of Jacky Fisher.

Admiral Lord John ‘Jacky’ Fisher passed away at the age of 79. The Admiral, the First Sea Lord, a man of dynamic and determined character whose work and passion for the British Royal Navy never faltered from the age of 13 and continued up until his death.

Jacky was an incredible British personality whose tremendous drive to protect and deter Britain’s enemies was his focus and he made sure that the British Navy was the best it could be. To quote Jacky - “Hit First! Hit Hard! Keep Hitting!”

As his great-great-granddaughter, I feel honoured that Jacky was a member of my family and I want to keep his memory alive by telling the story - and making a dramatic feature film - about his hard work and passion for the safety of the British people, so that future generations can enjoy learning about his remarkable life and the impact he made.
